The peak heat load for the property is 12.6kW. This is to achieve British Heating Standards (21C in living rooms, 18C in bedrooms and kitchen and 22C in bathrooms) when the outside temperature is -1.8C. Based on this heat load the 14kW CTC GSHP is perfectly sized to cover this load.

Based on the heating and hot water requirement from the EPC, running cost savings in the region of £760 per annum are estimated, compared to Oil. The new heat pump has an expected lifetime of 20 years which could generate up to £15,530 of savings in comparison to Oil

About the install

Cotswold Energy Group were selected to provide a full turnkey solution to design, supply and install a full mechanical and electrical installation to ensure the customer remove their existing oil heating system and plan for the future with a clean, renewable system.

We installed a CTC EcoPart 414 to cover this property’s 12.6kW load. This particular CTC is compact and quiet and can be stored internally, fitting comfortably within their utility room. This unit also runs off single phase making it the perfect solution for large properties which do not have access to 3 phase electricity.

In addition to the standard installation, this property needed reconfiguring to move the hot water location, water softner and also an accumulator to overcome water flow drops when the neighbouring farms had high usage.
